I'll sketch ideas down on the iPad all the time. Often I start something and don't know where I want to take it immediately. The result is that there are fragments of ideas littered around in Cubasis (my DAW of choice) and I often go surfing through these at a later date to see what I can develop.

I'd recorded a folk-style violin line in March and when I returned to the piece in July decided that the piano could both accompany the violin but also have some interplay with it.

A fun energetic piece which is a little different to the relaxed nature of much of the rest of the album.
